A total of 14 Bronze participants successfully completed a two-day expedition assessment starting at Belton in Rutland and finishing at Wakerley Woods camping at Wing Hall en route. After the assessor briefing at 09:00 the two teams set off on different routes for a long day hiking in very humid and energy-sapping conditions. They had one surprise visit from the assessor en route and were later questioned and observed whilst setting up camp and cooking. Heavy rain during the night didn’t seem to dampen their spirits and both teams put in a good performance on day two, finishing ahead of schedule without any problems. After congratulating them Mr Wickenden said 'it was a pleasure assessing Brooke Weston participants as always.'
