Year 13 student William Frogley is hoping to break into the world of modelling, having been signed up by an agency. At the moment he combines his Sixth Form studies with attending castings for jobs in London.
William was signed in March after the agency saw photographs on his Facebook profile. Now he auditions for photographic, film and catwalk work. He said: ‘A few people told me I ought to be a model and so I thought I would give it a go. I have had a few job offers but it is hard fitting them around my school commitments. Next year I am hoping to live and study in London so hopefully I will be able to do more then.
‘I went for a practice in the agency offices for a runway show and it was weird because everyone sat at their desks watching. That then makes you self-conscious so you really have to concentrate on something as simple as walking!’
William, who is studying A Levels in media, art and design, product design and photography, keeps fit by running. Ideally he wants to study creative advertising at Central St Martins. He said: ‘I love the fast pace of London and the fact it is always so frenetic and there is so much going on. If I can live down there I will be able to go to more castings and hopefully fit any modelling jobs around my studies. Whatever happens it is really enjoyable and I want to make the most of it.’
