French language assistant Marion Reydet has left Brooke Weston after spending more than 18 months helping our students. Marion, who started work here in autumn 2009, is now completing her final degree exams in France and hopes to return to England to train as an teacher.
She said: ‘I have enjoyed everything about England, the school work is nice, there is not one thing that I didn’t like. I am really sad to leave because I liked everything. I am happy that my Year 13s are leaving at the same time that I am because I’ve done two years with them and I have seen a lot of progress.’
Once she finishes her degree exams at the Université de Savoie, Marion plans to return to holiday in Brighton and the Lake District with other language assistants she has met while she has been in Northamptonshire: ‘We are all finishing about the same time, it is sad. If I want to apply for a teacher training programme next year I have to show that I am determined to stay in England so maybe I will come back and find a job related to education and schools.’
