Students and staff took part in a sponsored cycle around Rockingham Speedway to raise money for Myeloma UK. The event was supported by approximately 40 students, seven members of staff and parents.
The cyclists completed varying distances of the one-and-a-half mile circuit, with most doing at least ten and some reaching the 20 lap mark. Head of PE, Mr Neil Shorrock said: ‘Thanks to all those who took part, the event went really well and we enjoyed fantastic weather. People did as many laps as they wanted, it wasn’t competitive - more of a fun event. It was a great day and we are still waiting to hear how much money was raised.’
Brooke Weston is supporting Myeloma UK in a number of ways; money from the recent BW Factor talent show will be donated, and students and staff are also taking part in the 10k Race For Life at Northampton in June.
