Sean Spooner and Louis Porter are taking part in an endurance go-karting event to raise money for a cancer charity. Challenge 16, is being organised by CLIC Sargent to mark what would have been the 16th birthday of Liam Fairhurst, a cancer sufferer who had himself raised more than £250,000 for the charity.
Now his brother, Callum, continues the good work and, it was through chatting to him on Facebook that Sean and Louis decided to sign up. Sean has karted once before but this will be the first time he will have driven for such as long time as the race, at the Red Lodge Karting track in Bury St Edmunds, comprises two sessions of two hours each.
The duo, from Year 10, who are racing under their business title of Corby Magazine, now hope to raise £500. To donate money to this worthy cause visit their JustGiving page.
