Members of Gideons International gave Bibles to the Year 7 students at Brooke Weston. The non-denominational organisation, founded in 1889, gives away a million copies worldwide every five days while members of the Northants East branch visit 25 local secondary schools annually, gifting a copy of the New Testament to each Year 7 child that wants one. Their work also involves placing Bibles in local hotels, hospitals and prisons.
Kate Curnock gave a brief talk to the students before she and Heather Cash, Roger Pedley and Tony Cullum distributed the Bibles, which are paid for by charitable donations.
