Sixth Former Charles Healey is showcasing his artwork on the Brooke Weston website so everyone can view it and add comments. The new section of the website has been developed so students can upload artwork and information such as the title, media and the inspiration behind its creation. The resource will give students and staff a way of displaying their work and getting feedback from a wider audience.
Charles, who is doing A Levels in art and design, ICT and sports, plans to study architecture at university. He said: ‘The online portfolio section will show people what I can do and what I am capable of. The idea originally started with a Facebook gallery and I thought it would be nice to get it into the school environment as well. There are currently 12 pieces displayed on the subject of decomposition and natural form. I am working on other units and producing a portfolio for university applications as well so I will keep changing the gallery so it is updated and full of new images as I produce them.’
