Two students raised £74 for Children in Need by baking and selling hundreds of cakes and biscuits. Paige Smith and Tierney Chalmers from Year 9 spent three days making and icing the cupcakes and cookies then sold them at Oakley Vale primary school. The money raised will go to Children in Need.
Tierney said: ‘We got a fund-raising kit from Children in Need so we decided to hold a cake sale as we had lots of ingredients already. We did the cooking at my house and there was lots of washing up but it was all worth it.’
