The Year 7 students got the chance to look at wildlife in the Brooke Weston grounds when they undertook a detailed pond-dipping session. Each was given a specific task; either to write a report, produce drawings or collate statistics about the wildlife they discovered. It is the second year that the project has taken place, and it ran on two separate days at the end of last term.
Teacher Mrs Boyce said: 'The students were all absolutely brilliant outside and are always get surprised by the creatures that they discovered. They found the water scorpions which are about four centimetres long with pincers, really fascinating.'
