The Library is running more football-themed competitions to tie in with the World Cup frenzy. Students can write their own review about a book or magazine (on the football shaped entry form) available from the World Cup display in the Library. The closing date for entries is Friday 9 July.
Also there are two World Cup word-searches of differing difficulty with the display. Simply cross off the words on the entry sheet and hand that in by Wednesday 30 June.
There will also be a Big Football Quiz on the VLE, which is a combination of facts and questions about the football books on display. The deadline for entries is Wednesday 7 July. As it is on the VLE, the competition can be completed either at home or school, although students may have to research their answers from the books available in the Library. The quiz can be partly completed and saved, but can only be continued by using the same computer.
During Week 7 there will also be a World Cup crossword competition. All of the competitions are open to all students and staff and all have football or sport related prizes.
Congratulations go to Luca Messore-Greenaway and Andre Cowen who each won a prize for correctly stating that the country missing from the World Cup display was the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
