Year 11 drama students performed three set pieces for their recent practical GCSE exams. As part of their preparations they did two practice run-throughs, one for their parents and the other watched by Miss Stringer and Mrs Steele.
The students performed edited versions of 'Two' and 'Road' by Jim Cartwright as well as a non-musical version of 'Blood Brothers' by Willy Russell. Each piece lasted 20 to 30 minutes and was staged in the new drama theatre.
Teacher Miss Duguid said: 'For these performances we had some props made which we will be able to re-use in future performances. There's 16 in this drama group with a good mix of boys and girls. The students have shown real dedication and, as actors they are very strong.'
