Patchwork, embroidery, crochet and knitting are just some of the crafts that an after-school club has tackled. The craft club meets on Wednesdays and they are currently hand-sewing a Brooke Weston-inspired patchwork quilt.
The club, which is open to students from all year groups, is run by Miss Martin and Year 10 student Hannah Singh also attends as part her Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme commitment.
Miss Martin said: 'It's a way for the students to get together after school in a relaxing environment and create lots of different things. So far we have completed Christmas stockings and embroidery, made dolls with fabric ballgowns and are now working collaboratively on this quilt which will also be appliqued.'
Shania Joseph from Year 7 said: 'After a long day at school it's nice to sit with your friends and do sewing and other stuff; we have a laugh.'
