They say 'good things always come in threes' but they also go in threes as Brooke Weston says goodbye to a trio of staff members who are retiring.
Sadie Stanners and Molly Tyers, an inseparable double-act, are bowing out after spending ten and 15 years respectively cleaning at the College. Both have celebrated their 82nd birthdays and 60th wedding anniversaries this year and they will be sadly missed by staff and students alike.
Frank Duffy is also leaving after six and a half years in the science department. Frank, who prepares materials for lessons and sets up equipment in the classrooms, says he will miss the camaraderie among the staff at Brooke Weston but he's comforted by the fact that at least he'll have more time to visit his holiday home in Spain!
Principal, Peter Simpson said: 'Molly, Sadie and Frank are such characters that we will be very sad to see them go. We are grateful for the years of sterling service that they've given to the staff and students at Brooke Weston and wish them all the best for the future'.
