French assistant Marion Reydet is due to stay at Brooke Weston for another academic year as she likes the UK so much. She mainly works with our Sixth Form, helping students with pronunciation although she works with other year groups as well.
Marion, who comes from Albertville, best known for hosting the 1992 Winter Olympics, said: 'I really like it here, people are welcoming. The students want to learn. I finished my degree in English and would maybe consider being a teacher so this is a good opportunity and good experience for me.'
Although Marion has only been back to France once since coming here last October she doesn't really get homesick as she meets up with other French language assistants in the area: 'I hope to stay on for another year. I can see myself living in England for a long time and I'll be sad when I leave Brooke Weston.'
