Parents' in Partnership are hoping their latest fund-raising venture will really take off. The plan is to sell hundreds of balloons at £2 each which will be released on the night of the Year 13 ball next week. Each will have a label with the owner's name on it and the one that is returned from the furthest point will win £100.
Chairman of Parents in Partnership, Donna Davis, hopes to sell and launch around 400 balloons, but if staff and students really get behind the project that that figure could rise to over a thousand which would really make for a stunning sight. Balloons can be bought from the reception desk near the finance office.
Parents in Partnership support the College in various ways, by making refreshments during parents' evenings, conducting mock interviews with sixth formers and carrying out fund raising events through the year. Money raised is ploughed back into providing better facilities at Brooke Weston with money from this project being put towards new College minibuses.
