More than £2,000 has been donated to charities after mufti-day collections at Brooke Weston. The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance received £1,280, while a further £800 was given to Cruse Bereavement Care.
The money was collected from students and staff during the mufti day at the end of last term. Thank you to everyone who contributed. Previously students had come to school in their pyjamas to fund-raise for the Air Ambulance, while Mr Cowley raised sponsor money for Cruse during his cycling trip to Spain.
The Air Ambulance relies entirely on voluntary donations to fund their life-saving missions, while Cruse offers free counselling to the bereaved through a nationwide network of offices. Miss Stringer said: 'These are two very worthwhile charities and the funds raised at Brooke Weston will go to supporting their vital work.'
