Students at Brooke Weston are to get a new look as a jumper is being introduced to the uniform. The change was made following student requests and, after a rigorous selection process, a smart navy V-necked version has been chosen.
Existing students will be issued with one of the cotton and acrylic mix jumpers free of charge. It will be a compulsory part of the uniform as of the next academic year and should be worn in terms one to four.
Miss Stringer said: 'Students came up with the idea through the student forums and so we have selected a durable version, which should last well. This jumper will mean that not only will the students look smart, but heating in the building can be reduced which will also have environmental benefits.'
