The countdown has begun for this year's BW Factor talent show, which will be 'bigger and better' than ever. More than 40 hopeful acts were whittled down to the 14 who will entertain on Saturday 28 March.
Teachers Mr Bidwell and Mr Sammy, along with Lesley Parker and Shivon De Freitas from Parents' in Partnership held auditions to decide which acts will perform. Mr Sammy said: 'It was great last year, but this year it should be even bigger and better! We only had 14 places for the final show so it was a very intense and difficult decision to whittle down from 40 to 14! All the students who auditioned did fantastically well and showed lots of courage in auditioning to four judges!'
BW Factor will feature students from all year groups with dancers, solo singers, solo musicians, bands and group acts all vying to be the winner of BW Factor 2009. They will perform in front of a panel of judges who will decide this year's top act. Previous recipients of the trophy were The Randoms last year and Katie Parker who sang a solo to clinch the title in 2007. Tickets for the show cost £3 and are available from Reprographics at lunchtime.
