A Year 8 tutor group took part in a 'Strictly Come Dancing' style performance where they paired up to show off the dancing skills they have learned. Tutor group 8K had tuition from Miss Duguid, and they paired up for the waltz, rumba, cha-cha and rock and roll dances.
Mr Duguid, Miss James and Mrs Priest were on hand to act as judges and, after a flurry of fancy footwork, Josh Barnes and Ugne Okmanaite were given top marks before all nine couples took to the floor for a finale.
Miss Duguid said: 'The students have learned the basic moves in just six weeks and they have been preparing for the end of term performance for a fortnight. It has developed them as a group because they have learned, practiced and are happy to work in partnership. In the eighth week all dance groups will do some kind of mini-performance, whether it be to staff, teachers or another class and by dancing together the students have developed a greater respect for each other.'
