More than £1,300 was raised for a cancer charity during a 'mufti' day at Brooke Weston. Students dressed down (and up) for the day and money was collected in buckets as they arrived for their lessons.
The fund-raising is part of an ongoing initiative to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and so far around £4,500 has been raised through sponsorship and events. Students and staff are training to take part in charity races and some of the Sixth Form boys have even volunteered to have their legs waxed later this term!
