Drama students from Year 9 have been entertaining Beanfield and Gretton primary schools with a shortened version of the story 'A Christmas Carol'.
This was the first time that the Year 9 students had ever performed to a live audience. They were provided with a script and assigned roles within the play including the position of director and had to create a performance suitable for young children. Part of the task was to be able to design and source everything for the show themselves including costumes, make up and props.
Drama teacher Miss Kerr said ‘All the students involved thoroughly enjoyed their first performing experience and are eager to complete another one. It was lovely to be able to share our work with children from schools within the Brooke Weston Trust and to see the younger children enjoying the play so much.’
