In a report published today Brooke Weston was named as the top local state school for 2015 in Northamptonshire for securing Oxbridge entries. The survey, which collated data from last academic year's university intake, put Brooke Weston in first place after five of our students secured places at Cambridge and one went to Oxford.
The information, published by the Northants Evening Telegraph, shows Oxbridge application and entry figures from nearly 50 state and independent schools across the county. The most successful was Oundle School where boarders can pay up to £33,000 per year in fees. Last year three of our Oxbridge students went on to study medicine, with the others reading maths, science and English.
Executive Principal Trish Stringer said: ‘2015 was our most successful year ever in terms of successful Oxbridge applicants and we had a very strong and committed cohort of students. We are always striving to give our students the skills and ambition to study at the very highest level.’
