Congratulations to our hard-working restaurant and kitchen staff that have, once again, achieved top marks in the ‘Scores on the Door’s hygiene ratings after an inspection by the local Environmental Health department.
The inspection scrutinises all aspects of the catering operation. Restaurant manager Christine Gray said: ‘It is about food hygiene, storage, preparation and documentation. We got the maximum score and the inspector also wrote “excellent” on the report as well. We are inspected around every 15 months. We got our first maximum rating back in 2010 and since then it’s been five stars all the way although it is getting harder because there is more documentation to keep.
'I am very proud of what our team achieves, particularly given the relatively small size of the kitchen. Every day we produce around 500 breakfasts and 950 dinners as well as catering for meetings and other events around the building. Thanks to the team that works so hard to ensure that the food and service at Brooke Weston is always top quality.’
