The library has been given £300 worth of careers resources that will help students choosing their job options. The books and CDs, which cover a wide range of careers from beauty therapist to pilot, have been kindly donated by ‘how2become.com.’
How2become are the UK’s leading career and recruitment specialist. As well as books the company also produce tests, application forms and run courses to help to help applicants familiarise themselves with their chosen profession and the skills and attributes needed to successfully pass the interview stage.
Librarian Mrs Adams said: ‘How2become have generously offered to donate resources to us and hope that students will find their materials and their website really useful. They have very specific information about lots of different career routes and they provide advice and support when it comes to the application process. Although the careers section of the library is well stocked there is always room for current information so these resources will be very welcome. If anyone has any specific jobs or careers they are interested in then they can request that and I will see what resources are available on those topics.’
