Students finished off the term in style by running Christmas markets where stalls sold sweets and home made presents and staged competitions and raffles. The end of year activities were mainly organised by Year 10 tutor groups, but Sixth Form business students and those who have signed up for expeditions overseas also took part in their own money-making schemes.
Each Year 10 tutor group had to come up with products or services to promote. Some made and sold cards, Christmas decorations, jewellery, gingerbread and home-made bath bombs while others devised competitions including a 'guess the teacher' quiz where they had to identify teachers from pictures of them as toddlers. There was also a home-made electronic maze game where students had to successfully steer around a wire track without setting off an alarm in order to win a prize. Each tutor group spent about a month preparing for the markets that took place on consecutive days during the final week of term.
