Here is the final instalment featuring the top 20 highest-performing GCSE students this year. Congratulations to all our Year 11 students who worked so hard for their excellent results.
Anna Boyd (2A*, 4A, 3B and a Distinction) said: ‘I am coming back to do history, Spanish and maybe geography as well. I am really shocked because these are better than I thought they would be – I am so glad it all paid off because I did so much revision and I was worried that I wouldn’t get the results that I wanted. I want to go to university as I would love to be a primary school teacher as I think working with children will be a really good thing to do.’
George Coles (2A* 4A, 3B and a Distinction) said: ‘I am coming back in Sixth Form to study Art, Spanish, History and one other subject, which I still have to choose. I am most pleased with my Spanish and English results and hopefully I want to go to university to study something to do with art.’
Phoebe Payne (1A* 7A, 1B and a Distinction) said: ‘I am hopefully going to do biology, chemistry, physics and health and social care. I am either considering a medical career or becoming a vet. I am leaving with lots of happy memories of Brooke Weston. My success has been down to lots of work and revision. I did lots of past papers, revision books and BBC Bitesize.’
James Walker (6A*, 4A grades and a Distinction) said: 'I am coming back to study maths, further maths, physics and chemistry and afterwards would like to study computer science at university as I would like to be a software developer. I have always been interested in computers and might apply for Oxford or Cambridge, but I haven't really thought about where to study next. I was quite pleased with my results and glad that I got all As and A*s. I made notes for all my subjects and learned those before each exam. I focused hard on the mocks and got good grades in those so I knew my strategy was working.'
