Here is the third update on our most successful GCSE students:

Nathan Parekh-Downes (5A*, 5A and a Distinction) said: ‘I am coming back to do maths, chemistry and economics or business. I want to go to university and then do something in finance. I am most proud of my A* in geography as that was hard to get and I had to do a lot of revision for that one.’

Lauren Evans (5A*, 4A, 1B and a Distinction) said: ‘I want to possibly go to Oxbridge. I am coming back to do history, Spanish, psychology and business studies. I am not quite sure what I want to study at university, maybe business. These results are all down to loads of revision, for at least a couple of months beforehand.’

Laura Keenan (4A*, 6A and a Distinction) said: ‘I am coming back to study business, maths, English language and psychology. I want to study business and then I think I would like to open my own business, but I am not sure doing what yet. I am still considering all my options so may want to go to university. I wasn’t expecting these results but I worked really hard. My advice to other students is to keep revising and keep practising. Further maths was hard and I found French difficult as well.’

Georgia Pringle (4A* 5A and a Distinction) said: ‘I want to do English literature, biology and chemistry and maybe philosophy and ethics. Then I am hoping to go to either Oxford or Cambridge to study something to do with science or English, I am not sure yet. All my targets were quite high but I was really doubtful as to whether I had got them, but I am really happy. I am most happy about additional science because it was quite tough. It is one I want to do at A level and I really like science and I tried really hard at that. Me and my friends are going out for a meal to celebrate.’
