Congratulations to all our students who are celebrating their GCSE results. Here’s what some of our top performing students are planning to do:

Ana Ianus (8A*, 3A, Distinction) said: ‘I am stopping in the Sixth Form to study biology, chemistry, maths and psychology. I would quite like to get into Oxford or one of the other Russell Group universities to study medicine and hopefully become a doctor. The most difficult exam was biology because that was the one I worked hardest on and I just revised for it every night. I had a whole wall covered in notes that I would walk past every morning when I woke up. I would quite like to become an Army medic, so that would involve mostly surgery.’

Isabella Aves (8A*, 2A, Distinction) said: ‘ I plan to study Literature, French, history and philosophy and ethics at A Level. I would advise students not to leave it to late to start revising and to study hard and to put consistent effort all the way through.’

Tho-Qui Nguyen (8A*, 1A, 1B, Distinction) said: ‘I want to do all three sciences and maths at A Level but I might do a fifth one as well. I am not sure what career I want at the moment. I am really happy about my English literature mark as I wasn’t expecting an A*. I knew I was going to do well, but waiting in the queue to get the results was a bit nerve-racking!’

Sam Bristow (7A* 4A and a Distinction) said: ‘I want to do A Level biology, chemistry, maths, philosophy and ethics and possibly sociology. Then I would like to go to Cambridge to do psychological and behavioural sciences. Hopefully that will lead to either forensic or clinical psychology. It fascinates me so I wanted to secure these grades and hopefully progress from there. I thought I would get a couple of A*s and mostly Bs, so I certainly didn’t expect all As and A*s. My advice is to prepare for GCSEs as soon possible as it is really worth the effort.’
