Students and staff at Brooke Weston are celebrating another outstanding set of GCSE examination results. 90% of the year group secured at least 5 subjects graded A* to C, with 84% of the cohort securing English, Maths and at least three other GCSEs. 28% of all grades awarded were either A* or A.
There have been many excellent individual performances, with our top 20 students securing an amazing 95 A* grades and 86 A grades, between them. Our top performing GCSE student is celebrating achieving 8A*, 3A graded GCSEs and a Distinction in ICT, while eight other students achieved at least 10 A* and A grades each.
Principal Trish Stringer said: ‘Once again we are celebrating another truly exceptional year as our results show improvements on all measures. The fact that 90% of our students have secured at least five or more good GCSEs and the figure including English and Maths has also risen, means that once again our students have performed brilliantly.
‘The levels of progress in English, Maths and Science have soared when compared with last year, demonstrating what can be achieved when the hard work of our students is combined with the dedication and commitment of our teaching staff. My heartfelt congratulations go to everyone who has worked so hard to gain these stunning results and my thanks to parents who have tirelessly supported their children over the past five years.’
