Mr Rose’s and Mrs Lawson-Johnson’s Year 12 tutor groups used team tactics and initiative on a recent, after school, paintballing trip. It was a battle of tutor group against tutor group, with Mr Hawksley attending to give the pupils some target practice, while his tutees joined forces with Mrs Lawson-Johnson’s group. The event took place at the indoor venue in Corby, filled by smoke and the sounds of battle.
This was an evening event accompanied, and organised, by Mr Rose and Mrs Lawson-Johnson. The students really enjoyed it and behaved impeccably, despite the bruises and pain. They are very keen to have a rematch, despite it being very intense at times. At the end of the night, Mr Rose’s tutor group came out on top, but it was a close fought battle.
Here's what they had to say:
'So much fun, a definite stress reliever from exams!' Ryan Porter
'I’ve got bruises in places that I didn’t think were possible.' Sophie Scoular
'It was worth the sweat and facial injury.' Kieran Carter
'Had a brilliant time, would definitely do it again!' Dasha Palamarchuk
'It was really fun, we should do it again.' Emma Turner
