Local artist Ellie Walker led a series of workshops with Year 10 and Year 11 students focusing on marbling and experimental painting techniques.
She said: ‘I am doing workshops based on drawing with inks and water. The main purpose is to be experimental and to see how we can use those materials to create certain effects. It ranges from materials which you haven’t got much control over to those which you can manipulate more.
'We are using marbling inks, printing from bubbles, using salt and ink and also spraying water and using its path to draw with the inks. The students enjoyed the work because it is not formal, it is a colourful and fun workshop that combines artistic freedom with a touch of messiness.’
