For an amazing fourth year running, staff and students at Brooke Weston are celebrating a 100 per cent pass rate at GCSE level. All 174 students gained five or more good GCSE passes with a quarter of exams being awarded either A* or A grades.
The results have confirmed Brooke Weston's status as one of the country's top state schools and nearly 90 per cent of students gained five or more GCSEs including English and Maths.
Principal, Trish Stringer said: 'We have had some outstanding individual results but the across-the-board performance of a 100 per cent pass rate is a testament to the commitment of our students and staff. I am absolutely delighted with these stunning results. We add a tremendous amount of value to all our students which is demonstrated by these results.'
One department with particular cause for celebration was Design Technology. All the students sat GCSE in DT with 98 per cent of them passing with A to C grades and 51 per cent of passes in the subject awarded an A* or A grade.
