Our new Sixth Formers rode a mechanical bull, did sumo wrestling and tackled a giant assault course as part of a team-building session during their induction day. The students took part in eight separate activities which were set up by events organisers Fun Matters.
Ben Newson from the organisation said: ‘We are getting the students out and about, getting some fresh air in their lungs and doing some team building. All of our activities are equally as fun, it depends what you like but the Big Challenge inflatable assault course is always a favourite. Another activity is Stretch and Score where two competitors battle it out using their own body weight to score points. They are joined together by a rope so whoever is stronger can get the points, but it also can depend on agility and speed. The students are going around the activities in groups and they spend about ten minutes on each activity. It is all about getting the students to work together combining fitness and team building.’
