Tierney Chalmers is celebrating her GCSE success with 7 A* and 6 A grades: ‘I am really pleased with my history as I thought I had failed and I actually got an A for that. I worked really hard.’
Tho-Quang Nguyen also secured 8 A* and 5 A grades: ‘I am coming back to study maths and sciences, hopefully that will lead to a medical career. I worked hard for these results and I am really happy.
Emma Turner got 8 A* and 3 As. She said: ‘I am really surprised. I didn't think I would do that well in a million years! I never thought I would get an A* in Spanish. I am coming back to study biology, chemistry, maths and psychology.
Harriet Woodward is celebrating her 7 A* and 4 A graded GCSEs: ‘I am really happy. It was worth all of the effort that I put in. I wanted to do the best that I could in all of them. I am pleased with geography because I worked so hard at that. I definitely want to come back to study German because that is my favourite but will have to think hard about the other subjects.’
Jordan Smith got 7 A* and 2 A grades: ‘I am going to study biology, chemistry, psychology and Spanish. I got an A* in history which I didn’t expect. I didn’t think my results would be as good as this!’
Ida Koczor achieved 8 A* and 1 A grade and is planning to come back to study history, French, English Literature and Maths or Philosophy and Ethics before going to study law at university.
