The Year 7s had to gather data from members of the public, studied the sea defences and visited the beach and Sea Life Centre during recent Humanities trips to Hunstanton.
The students carried out questionnaires asking locals and tourists for their views on the town then looked at its sea defences and erosion. As well as looking at the ecology of the beach they also were able to handle crabs in the Sea Life Centre.
Teacher Mr Bidwell said: ‘This was an opportunity for them to experience a coastal environment and they also improved their communication skills by having to question members of the public on a range of issues. It was a very worthwhile trip and they will now have to collate and interpret the data they gathered.’
