Brooke Weston hosted 70 primary school children during a fun afternoon of sports. The students from Oakley Vale and Wilbarston primary schools, split into small groups for games that boosted their co-ordination included dribbling footballs, throwing beanbags into hoops and bouncing balloons on tennis racquets.
As well as being supervised by teachers, students from Years 9 and 10 at Brooke Weston also helped as part of their work with the leadership academy of the Corby, Oundle and Thrapston School Sports Partnership.
Teacher Ms Kate Bryan said: ‘The event lasted for two hours and it was quite busy and good fun. Oakley Vale brought 60 of their students also and Wilbarston brought ten. It was building on fundamental skills but the students loved it and want to come back again!’
