PERFECT PERFORMANCE, OUTSTANDING RESULTS by BROOKE WESTON COLLEGE:
state-funded school with a comprehensive intake
GCSE RESULTS 2005
100% of students achieve 5 or more A*-C grade passes at GCSE
Year 11 students at Brooke Weston CTC achieved the perfect score in their GCSE examinations with 100% of students gaining five or more higher grades at GCSE (that is GCSEs at grades A*-C).
These outstanding results, with a quarter of all grades at A* and A, replicate last year's performance and confirm the College's position as one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country.
Comment from Principal Peter Simpson:
'Once again these results represent an exceptional achievement by students and staff at Brooke Weston College. The results are especially impressive because the College has a truly comprehensive intake. This first rate performance more than justifies our faith in our young people and proves that, whatever their background and circumstances, they are capable of achieving excellence when given the right support and encouragement.'
