The Newman Library is a knowledge space offering a calm environment conducive to learning, with 22,000 resources including fiction and non-fiction, newspapers and journals, DVDs and web subscriptions, as well as 72 computers and 75 laptops available to students and staff. Staff are on hand to support users within the library and in the classroom (for example with resource collections and reading lists).
The Library aims to promote reading for pleasure with non-fiction and fiction collections which are up-to-date and include senior fiction, quick reads, graphic novels, manga, games and puzzle books and magazines for recreation. Opportunities for reader development include roles for student librarians as well as several clubs.
