Year 11 students at Brooke Weston Academy visited toured Tresham College and learned about the range of courses it offers. They saw the facilities and equipment and gained an insight into life at the local FE college.
Highlights included visiting the electrical, plumbing, carpentry and engineering workshops in the construction department. At Kettering students visited the creative hair and make-up section as well as the television production equipment in the creative media department. Another unusual experience was seeing the half-aeroplane which is used to train cabin crew.
The students were accompanied by Education Welfare Officer Mrs Hilling and careers advisor Mrs Scott. Everyone had an informative and inspiring day. Some students are looking forward to starting the new stage of their education post-16 at Tresham College in September and we wish them well in the future.
