Students should come to school as usual but bring their kit for the weekend with them. They will be given time to change before they depart.
Staff and students will travel by minibus leaving at 16:05 on Friday 23rd February and returning on Sunday 25th February 2018 at approximately 16:00. Parents are therefore requested to arrange transport for their son/daughter from Brooke Weston.
The Training Expedition is a camping experience which encourages team bonding and develops the essential practical skills for expedition life such as risk management, provisioning, cooking, trekking scenario planning, erecting a tent, hygiene and nutrition.
It is vital that next of kin contact details for all students are up to date and that any medical conditions have been declared, parents must do this prior to the Expedition Training Weekend by logging on to ‘Basecamp’ on the Outlook Expedition website. A kit list and the code of conduct expected for the Expedition Training weekend is also available online.
